During the 2016-2017 academic year, the Society will distribute over a quarter-million dollars in scholarships and awards exclusively to Society members.
The Society scholarship and awards program supports members for their dynamic leadership, service, chapter/member excellence and financial need. These awards are broken out into 3 areas that include:
- Stephen Covey Tribute Awards
- Mission Based Scholarships and Grants
- Need Based Scholarship and Grants
The Society receives a large volume of submissions each semester, and winners are chosen by the National Review Board through a highly selective process. Due to this competitive environment, members are encouraged to submit their best work in order to increase the chances of receiving a scholarship or award. Members may submit multiple applications, however members will only be eligible to win one scholarship or award for that Scholarship period. The National Review Board checks submissions for proper eligibility and truthfulness. Fraudulent applications will result in a disqualification of the application and a revocation of the submitter’s Society membership. The Society retains the right not to award a scholarship or grant at any given time, with the funds rolling over to the next award period.
Any questions regarding applications can be directed to awards@societyleadership.org.
