Description: This is a scholarship contest available to scholar-athletes graduating from high school in 2012. 25 regional winners will be awarded a $7,500 scholarship, a spot in a milk-mustache ad in USA Today, and an all-expense paid trip to the awards ceremony in Orlando, Florida. Candidates applying for this scholarship must demonstrate excellence in academics, athletic performance, leadership, and community service. A panel of celebrity milk-mustache athletes will help to select the 25 national scholar athletes.

What’s Required for the Application: To apply for this scholarship, students must fill out and submit the application that can be found here. As part of the application, students will be asked to write a 250 word essay on a subject of the sponsor’s choice. Winners in each region will be notified in May, and will be invited to an awards ceremony and induction to the Milk House Hall of Fame at the end of June.

What Makes it Unique: The “Got Milk?” Campaign is a unique and high-profile endeavor and this contest allows outstanding student-athletes to become a part of it and win a significant scholarship, without having to go through a complex application process.
