CTY was founded in 1979 to challenge insatiable learners, curious kids who never stop searching for answers to how the world works—and then asking more questions. For nearly two generations, CTY has helped identify, nurture, and advocate for advanced learners from all backgrounds.
Talent Search is your gateway to CTY. It’s an advanced assessment that will help identify your child’s strengths and direct you to the right resources to nurture them. Your children will have the chance to participate in challenge learning opportunities they won’t experience anywhere else. Just as important, they’ll find a safe, welcoming circle of peers, mentors, and teachers who understand advanced learners. They’ll make lifelong friends who share their passion for learning.
How to Participate
1. Apply to Talent Search
If you are new to CTY, just fill out an online application.
If you are already a CTY student and want to enroll, go to MyCTY.
2. Register for testing
After applying to the Talent Search, CTY will send information about your choice of assessments (test options vary by grade level). Choose your test, register, and pay the test fee.
3. Test
After testing, you will receive scores and qualifying information.
