Seelio helps students understand the 21st century skills employers want, communicate how their education relates to those skills in a professional digital identity, and ultimately use that digital identity to connect with employers and find a job.

Traditionally the career preparation process has been siloed or isolated until the end of a student’s experience. Seelio helps connect educational experiences to careers by finding touchpoints across the student experience to:

• Empower Students to Connect Learning to Employable Skills
• Enable Students to Find a Job
• Help Schools Showcase Student Success

Seelio began with a visit to Scarlett Middle School in Ann Arbor, Michigan, for Portfolio Day – an event where students showcase themselves to professionals in the Ann Arbor community using a paper binder of class work, essays, and awards.

Inspired by these young learners, Seelio’s future co-founders dreamt of a way to help students tell their stories in a way that could be easily shared with those would be making important decisions about their future — like admissions officers, employers, and more.

As a result, Seelio was founded at the end of 2011 by Moses Lee, David Jsa and Jerry Wang. Soon after, Seelio launched partnerships with higher education institutions to offer support across the student lifecycle and help students demonstrate connections between their learning experiences and the 21st century skills that employers want. In 2014, we became a part of Keypath Education.
