2016/2017 SANDBOX FELLOWS APPLICATION
MIT Sandbox is launching a fellows program in order to provide additional training and support for Sandbox participants. We are collecting applications on a rolling basis. Please see details below for eligibility, expectations and how to apply.
The Sandbox Fellows Program is paid opportunity for MIT graduate students and postdocs to coach and mentor aspiring student entrepreneurs.
ELIGIBILITY
The Sandbox Fellows program is open to all MIT graduate students and post-docs who have completed entrepreneurship coursework and/or have equivalent industry experience.
International students: please check with ISO before applying.
FORMAL TRAINING (coursework) | EXPERIENTIAL TRAINING |
Foundational Entrepreneurship (e.g. 15.901/6.901, 10.02) |
Practical knowledge of founding a company |
Product Design and Manufacturing Processes (e.g. 2.009, 6.902, 3.086) |

Industry-specific courses (e.g. energy, healthcare, think tank) |
EXPECTATIONS
- 5 hours of work per week maximum, including:
- a weekly 2-hour training/meeting, initially (likely on Fridays)
- ~10 Sandbox teams for each Fellow to support
