If you are planning to attend college soon or are already a student looking for future funds, please give us a call.  We currently offer 5% interest subsidized student loans for residents of Ross County, Ohio.

History

In the beginning, three trustees were appointed by Mrs. Katheryn D. Blosser to oversee the set up and administration of the Trust. After her death, it was decided by the appointed Trustees that the Trust would be operated as a loan program so that it could continually replenish itself and grow. Since 1961, the Peter J. Blosser Student Loan Fund has given out over $2,230,000 to over 750 students.

Over the years, the Trust has gone through many transitions including 12 different Trustees, 6 different secretaries, updating and improving the requirements by which students can receive a loan, and increasing the limits of funds given as college tuition has risen.

As of 1998, the Trust also began a scholarship program named The Raymond J. Pack Memorial Scholarship, in honor of one of their long term Trustees.  Mr. Pack died in a car accident in 1988 after serving on the Board of Trustees for 9 years. This scholarship awards each Ross County High School and the Pickaway-Ross Career and Technology Center a scholarship for one or more of their college-bound seniors. The Raymond J. Pack Scholarship fund has already awarded over $215,000 to 125 students.

Any student applying for the Peter J. Blosser Student Loan Fund must be a resident of Ross County for at least 6 months.
