Like Jay, many young people find achieving a DofE Award life-changing. A fun adventure and major challenge, three progressive Award levels (Bronze, Silver and Gold) and a wide range of activities offer endless possibilities to anyone aged 14 to 24. Millions of young people in the UK have already taken part in the world’s leading youth achievement award – pushing personal boundaries, gaining new skills and enhancing their CVs and university applications. Time to get involved and go the extra mile?

There are three levels of programme you can do which, when successfully completed, lead to a Bronze, Silver or Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. The main differences between them are the minimum length of time they take to complete, how challenging they are and the minimum age you can start.

More than 1,800 organisations across the UK – including schools, colleges, universities, youth clubs, the Scouts and Guides, young offender institutions and businesses – help to run over 13,200 DofE centres.

DofE programmes are delivered under special licence to ensure they meet specific standards and you’ll be supported by a DofE Leader who offers advice and encouragement. Everyone involved is focused on helping you have experiences that will shape your future.
